Interruptions
Coitus interruptus by a knock
wiping years from my life
as I peeked through the window
to see my waiting wife.
Oh so very luckily
she couldn't see me
as she rummaged in her bag
to try and find her key.
A burst of speed dressing
sorting out which was whose
until both were fully regarbed
even down to socks and shoes.
Only quick thinking
managed to save the day
as I sent her round to the back
and my lover out the front way.
As I made her a cuppa
I muttered under my breath
that's the closest I've ever been
to a premature death.
I pandered to her every need,
even vacuumed the floor
driven by a sense of guilt
and relief at having a back door.
Coitus interruptus by a knock
wiping years from my life
as I peeked through the window
to see my waiting wife.
Oh so very luckily
she couldn't see me
as she rummaged in her bag
to try and find her key.
A burst of speed dressing
sorting out which was whose
until both were fully regarbed
even down to socks and shoes.
Only quick thinking
managed to save the day
as I sent her round to the back
and my lover out the front way.
As I made her a cuppa
I muttered under my breath
that's the closest I've ever been
to a premature death.
I pandered to her every need,
even vacuumed the floor
driven by a sense of guilt
and relief at having a back door.
