Many nights of nurse dreams
Where my patients do not scream
And their families cope somehow
Because of love of my know how

There is my doctor
In my dreams
Who places his hand on my shoulder
A nurse and patient to his life
He knows I'm getting older

There is my old boss
We are working as a chorus
Helping those who cannot help themselves
We give
To stop the illness hells
Last night I gave a baby medicine
A wife who loves her husband came in
I saw them gently tucked in bed
In what was their camp trailer
Even though her husband couldn't talk
I would not be the one to fail her
While she still loved through his disability...
In dreams, I see the nurse still so ingrained in me.
