 Swallowed by the Moment

Minding my own business, amusing myself
With beautiful fantasies of my future hopes.
Hearing the ticking clock count off the seconds;
Completely lost in thought, my mind roaring.
I suddenly stop as a ladybug lands on my arm;
Observation; stillness; swallowed by the moment.

My soul shoots through this wormhole in time;
Suspended forever is this shard of reality.
Joy and peace encompass me with their fullness;
All time stops… walking in union with all that is.
No longer existing is that veil of separation;
I'm now captured, swallowed by the moment.

Forever changed by this little red and black bug;
Finding the golden pot at the end of the rainbow.
These gates eternally are now open to explore;
Entering presence; without beginning, without end.
Stringing together the pearls of these moments
Into a necklace; swallowed by the moment.
