FINAL CHAPTER
I kissed you
the first time we met…
couldn't help it,
your lips demanded it
I came to you
guileless and unaware…
our lives would
entwine against my will
I let you in
to the deepest well…
feelings within,
embracing your soul
I felt your words
before you could speak…
trying hard to fill
the holes in your heart
I let you go
again and again, you left…
but always came back
and always I fell harder
I said the words
the ones you told me not to…
not believing you
would never say them back
I feel the sting
of losing you once more…
this time realizing
you weren't who I thought
I loved you more
than anyone ever will…
sadly you walked away
from joy few will ever know
I love you still…
but it's time now...
to say goodbye and write
the final chapter of our story
