 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
Haven’t seen you around much
You're here to say you love me,
Wouldn't hurt to tell a lie, help me to accept
You only come around when you want and need a bit of loving.

Okay, here we are on the carousel of lies.
Let’s hear the new one, the reason you're back in town.
Been awhile since you were here.
Same old street same old strife
Here you are knocking on my life.
Is to be you and me fighting on the street?
Don’t think so, not this time.

Okay I can’t say it’s good to see you.
You’ll give me what I don’t want - rage anger and hurt.
Let’s just stay apart. That way I’ll still have my heart.
It’s been way too long. I haven’t had you on my mind.
Listen, don’t come around again. Let me forget you.
Just the thought of you freezes my heart.
This is my life and you're not pulling it apart
