Holding On

(To My late Mother whose endearing love for us, had surpassed the test of times, this poem i lovingly dedicate.)

When words are left
without wings,
then quietness fill in the spaces
in between

the lines, mind's boggling
thoughts flutter like starry
butterflies across
the ceiling, freed

from a cage,unchained
melody of a sad song, played
by an old guitar. A reminiscing
it is, with  a stray of laughter.

A weary heart,moving on,
holding on to forever.
