I was always playing truant never paying attention
Thats why iam not fluant in french and spent
Many an hour in detention
I was smoking behind the bike sheds sprying spry paints
Conning people out of pennies we were no saints
I was always causeing trouble rampaunt and wild
I was the 90s child
I was stood on street corners thifeing stuff here and there
Stepping out at weekends binge drinking i couldnt care
Back then life was my oasis
But now its all a blur
I was the fire starter who was caught in the rain
Playing football doing as i desired i couldnt hear my mother call
I was always back answering thought i knew it all
I was always causeing trouble mischifeus and wild
I was the 90s child
The brains behind a scandle a right little vandle
Those long hot summers in the park
Those cold winter mornings in the dark
I never had to fear because i had the nerve
Back then life was my nirvana
But now its just the verve
I was always climbing roofs throwing stones at glass
I was a british bulldog and sat exams i didnt wish to pass
I didnt respect my elders or follow orders
Your gang was your gang and we formed them like soldiers
I was never in to marbles because all my marbles are there
We did amazing things while old people grew old in a rocking chair
I was always causeing trouble on the run and wild
I was the 90s child
I never did my home work for i knew how the world worked
And in this day and age thats a better tool
And iam ither one of the greats
Or someone everyone hates down by the old school
Back then life was all happy mondays
But now the garden is full of stone roses
