Appointed as a Watchman
God made me a watchman,
Guard over the people;
And warn them of the plan,
Written in the Gospel.
God cannot be ignored,
I must warn them of Him;
The next time for the Lord,
Will be making things grim.
Those bad will surely die,
But are not my concern;
The way they cheat and lie,
They will be left to burn.
They will burn for their sin,
Not changing wicked ways;
And too tainted within,
Each one constantly strays.
Trying to save their lives,
Would mean a change of heart,
Before Jesus arrives,
Their evil ways depart.
But they love their pleasure,
That they have here on earth;
They idolize treasure,
Thinking it has much worth.
I will feel liable,
For each one of their deaths;
Being responsible,
For smoke choking their breaths.
