AN INOFFENSIVE MAN

Quiet man! Nobody noticed him.
Totally inoffensive.
Would laugh, be stoic when required.
Just be there when needed, not noticed simply around.
Lived quietly trying to do no wrong.

People can’t see inoffensive men.
They prefer the insecure, loud mouthed oaf.
He’s always out there with unwanted opinions.
Always needing to be noticed whilst the quiet man
Gets on with it, not demanding attention.
Cause and effect affected by his quiet actions.
The world only sees the braggart shouting offensively

All the while the inoffensive man moves on.
He doesn’t stand around waiting to be noticed,
Just puts things in motion, year after year always around when needed.
Although he goes unnoticed, his way of living,
Quiet, inoffensive, full of life - giving not taking.
Unlike the loud mouthed, insecure, aggressive braggart
Screaming 'I’m here see me. I need to be noticed'.
