 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
A hard rain, it keeps falling upon Lost hopes and dreams scrawling
around inside crumbling homes.
It's a hard acid rain.
This perfect storm caused by greed.

We all played a part, small or large.
The hard rain descends battering lives.
Nothing to shield or protect us.
Our livelihoods swept the way of all
promises built on shaky ground.
Our lives are lost in the storm
drains of our cities.

This hard rain gonna keep on falling,.
No way out. No easy solutions only poverty
and what used to be called third world living.
We grabbed at straws and ended up holding
the short straw of no hope. All we got
s a hard hard rain and its  gonna
keep on falling
