CHRISLAM OR CHRISTIANITY
Beloved, an ill wind blows
Across the Christian scene.
I'm not pointing fingers
But what could all this mean?
Seems there's a controversy
Between men of the cloth.
It's drawing such attention...
Like a flame attracts a moth.
I've heard a new religion
Is beginning to unfold.
Merging Muslims and Christians
Is the plan or so I'm told.
Christianity and Islam
Is compatible they say.
We all worship the same God...
Chrislam will make a way.
Something rises up within!
That something's telling me
That this is totally a-miss...
It's spiritual atrocity!
Is it one world religion
Wrought by a one world order?
Mixing Muslims and Christians
Is like mixing oil and water!
Of course, we love these people.
It's not a matter of not caring.
But the God the Muslims serve
Is not the same God we are sharing.
If doctrine is important,
It is non negotiable.
We cannot compromise our faith
Simply to be sociable.
The deity of Jesus Christ
Is something they deny.
They insist God has no Son
And that Jesus didn't die!
There is no similarity
As far as He's concerned.
Because He is Almighty God...
A fact they've not discerned.
There can never be a merging
Of the Bible and Koran.
One's inspired by the Holy Ghost...
The other by mere man.
How can a House of Worship
Place the Truth beside a lie?
To put these two books side by side
Begs me to wonder why.
One teaches a forgiving love...
The other dwells on hate.
No, I don't think the differences
Are meant to congregate.
I am all for love and peace...
For tolerance and trust.
But I'm having to reject this merge...
My heart tells me I must.
Prayerfully Presented,
Doris Jacobs-Covington
