 She  Remembers  Well
She  remembers  her  newborn  babies  placed
Into  her  arms, the  gentle  rhythm  of  their
Breathing,  the  wonder  of  her  tiny  beings
 Yes, she  remembers  well
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
She  recalls  tiny  hands  held  in  hers, big
Brown  eyes, sweet  child  kisses, wild
Flowers  presented  with  such  pride
Yes, she  remembers  well

She  remembers  colds  and  fevers, chicken
Pox, tonsillitis, walking  the  floor  with  sick
Babies, pediatricians, antibiotics, baby  aspirin  to
Give  some  sleep, yes, she  remembers  well

She  remembers  kindergarten, stick  men  on
The  refrigerator, Children's  books, silly  putty
A  handmade  card  saying  how  much  they
Love  you, yes, she  remembers  well
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Middle  school  crushes, all  night  skating
Teenagers  raiding  the  refrigerator, corn
Detassling, grape  trimming, clothes  and
Shoes  so  Important, yes, she  remembers  well
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Down  the  Isle  comes  their  Brides, Oh  my
How  time  does  fly, grand  babies  bring  such
Joy, heart  filled  to  overflowing, counting  little
Piggies  on  baby  toes, yes, she  remembers  well
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Family  gatherings, our   home  held  many,  snap  shots
Captured  fondest  memories,  they've  spread  their  wings
Following  their  dreams,  leaving  empty  spaces  behind
And  the  laughter  she  remembers, yes, she  remembers  well.
