One Of The First

Photobucket
the wind softly flows through my wings as i soar
unlike the others i feel the exhilaration's of flight
i soar high into the sky then plunge downward
i am more than a bird i am one of the first to think

i am amazed at what the others take for granted
the speed i can attain the ability to see so precisely
the strength i feel at each wing stroke the songs i sing
i am more than a bird i am one of the first to think

i watch the others hut then think of better ways
i learn from them who my enemies are and avoid contact
i know there are none aware of me so my survival is strong
i am more than a bird i am one of the first to think

off in the distance i see him he is a handsome bird
does he think as i do could we create a new species together
he approaches cautiously sitting next to me eying me carefully
i am more than a bird i am one of the first to think

as he stares at me i feel his mind flash through me gently he thinks
he places a flower between us i softly rub his head we are alike
my mind reaches out to him i feel his gentle caress as he acknowledges
i am more than a bird i am one of the first to think
