The Value of Righteousness
Arrogance comes with pride,
Making you boastful inside;
Which will be causing to cheat,
With having so much deceit.
Then you will be feeling shame,
But will find others to blame;
As a victim of the crime,
The wrong place at the wrong time.
But wisdom stays with the meek,
A higher authority they seek;
Which will be showing the way,
So they do not go astray.
Integrity guides decent men,
That always remembers when;
To give pleasure to the Lord,
Not let His Word be ignored.
Hypocrisy is uncouth,
With no bearing on the truth;
And perverseness that destroys,
All of which that it employs.
Wealth will be no help the day,
That fury comes our way;
With justice without a grudge,
When wrath will finally judge.
For the righteous before died,
Before the sinners have lied;
Trying to save their own neck,
Seeing their life was a wreck.
