Preaching the Gospel
Do not be deceived what you heard,
Your time not wasted with the Word;
It is not a sin or a crime,
Reading the Gospel in your free time.
No matter what time that you choose,
Nothing wrong reading the Good News;
Regardless being day or night,
Let God keep you within the light.
We suffer some from the insults,
Flung from the immature adults;
About the way the Christian right,
For never being very bright.
Maybe being blinded by the truth.
Keeps us from being so uncouth;
And why we are gentle and meek,
Because it is God whom we seek.
For the Lord gave us the spirit,
And patience to endure it;
So we can still spread the Gospel,
Throughout the land to all the people.
We are not seeking any praise,
Speaking what the Gospel conveys;
And not people we try to please,
Rather of what the Lord decrees.
No question of if right or wrong,
Just that suffering could prolong;
If you do not follow the Lord,
Letting His Word to be ignored.
