Behold, Belong and Love

[A poem written for my kids]

God made this world; God made this world,
Eternal beauty of master art!
Rising sun and shining moon,
Day and night and twinkling stars,
Blowing breeze and flowing streams,
Gleaming snow and sprinkling rain.
A lot more he made; a lot more he made,
To make this world a heavenly one.

God made this world; God made this world,
Eternal beauty of master art!
Buzzing bees and singing birds,
Pecking chicks and nibbling lambs,
Leaping frogs and wriggling snakes,
Grazing cows and dancing trees.
A lot more he made; a lot more he made,
Endless in words what all he made.
Love this world; love this world,
Behold, belong and love this world.
