Why First
Of course, when one enters any type of race
The object is to be the one in first place
All entrants came with the same desire
To be the one who will be the winner.
Some people seem to get themselves in to a position
Seeing everything they acquire, as a form of competition
Will feel inferior, if they are not among the earliest
To obtain, the most recent model, before the rest.
Then there are others who get that air of superiority
If they acquire something before many in there company
And will not hesitate to make that change quite quickly
If it has become something, that is seen quite regularly.
But people too are also are driven by that need
Some deep feeling within, that they must always succeed
Must always no matter what finish at the top
And therefore, will not think twice of taking that shortcut.
What about those who look at life through different eyes
Never thought about position, or acquiring any booty or prize
But are quite willing to rise to and enjoy any occasion
Yet they were able to make some worthwhile acquisitions.
But in life there will be win-win, win-lose or lose-lose situations
These can sometimes put one in a very uneasy position
But there will always be moments of winning and losing
In this, every changing fortunes of life and living.
So therefore it's best to quench that tempting thirst
The one where we always want to be first
Remember' in life the result will always be the same
No matter how you play, the changes, even hybrids brought to the game.
