Wonderful Words of Life
If I only knew where to go,
Maybe follow rivers that flow;
I would love to go to the place,
Where I could meet God face to face.
I would present my case to Him,
The reason why I am so grim;
With a mouth full of arguments,
Giving Him all my testaments.
I know what God would say to me,
But want to understand to see;
About all of my legal rights,
That has kept me up all these nights.
If I go east He is not there,
For my complaints I want to share;
If I go west not to be found,
Does not appear to be around.
Going to where the north wind blows,
I do not see to tell my woes;
But I think I will lose my mind,
To go south and still cannot find.
Now I am aging turning old,
I am feeling purer than gold;
Pursuing Him across the land,
While following each command.
For His wonderful words of life,
Has been getting me through the strife;
I have treasured His words to heart,
Never letting them to depart.
