Words of Life, Love and Praise

The Color of Love

The colors of Love
splayed across the pages
of our memories -
Water colored skies fade
into dusky hues across the sunset,
making way for diamond studded nights
that tow twilight on a string...
Possibilities, choices -
Oh the vibrance of joy!
Summers of violet and yellow
fall away to autumns burning sadness,
only to lie under the frost of winter.
But what of our hearts?
For they still recall the spring...
The look in your eyes,
the taste of your kiss…
Those to burn away the chilly frost
giving vibrant hues refreshed breath,
that the eyes of our hearts witness
throughout the icy hand of winter.
Bring me the colors of spring
that call blue birds to sing
throughout the seasons of my life -
for I discard sadness
to dwell among the violet and yellow
of the joys I choose to take with me,
as I recall the path of my life…
No regrets, no regrets
as I remember passions red
the day your smile awakened my soul.
