PERSEVERANCE

Who taught the sparrow to fly
Way up high in the sky

Who taught the eagle to soar
up close to heaven's door

Who taught the nightingale to sing
notes so beautiful it brings joy to a king

One day on my driveway there was
a small crack in the concrete

A weed had forced itself up through the small crack
It was blooming

No room in the crack for another one to grow
A healthy smile it acknowledged me as the wind softly did blow

I learned a lesson from the weed that day
a lesson in perseverance

When it looks like you can't
just keep on keeping on

The same ONE who taught the sparrow to fly
the eagle to soar and the nightingale to sing

Is the ONE  that gives us strength to go on
When we want  to sit down and cry "I can't"

Remember GOD'S SON is a majority of one
With His help the battle is already won

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
King James Version  -   Philippians 4:13

It's a little like wrestling a gorilla.
You don't quit when you're tired,
you quit when the gorilla is tired.
Robert Strauss
