Confidence in God
I do not try to be uncouth,
But there is an inspired truth;
On the wicked who do rebel,
In the depths where their hearts dwell,
They are not terrified of God,
As they think of Him as a fraud;
And caring less if God is near,
Since they feel as having no fear.
They flatter themselves for the pride,
That has been bottled up inside;
Not recognizing their conscience,
Which is covered by impatience.
The words that come off of the tongue,
Causes trouble when they are flung;
And are filled with only deceit,
That they make sound so soft and sweet.
They are Satan within disguise,
No longer doing what is wise;
For evil lurks instead of good,
In doing what you or I should.
Fret not about evil doers,
Tis dark where they are pursuers;
Neither be envious of them,
Judgment will fall to condemn.
Delight yourself within His name,
And go out of House to proclaim;
God gives desires of the heart,
For to rejoice as you impart.
