Encouraging Words
I am pressed from every side,
But not as yet unto despair;
From temptations still not subside,
While some others do not care.
I am sought yet not forsaken,
Smitten down but still not destroyed;
And at night I have awaken,
By past affairs that I enjoyed.
But I believed therefore I spoke,
I have a faith from the Spirit;
And the bond of temptation broke,
To lose not what I inherit.
I believe so I also speak,
I know who brought Christ back to life;
Like Jesus I stay humble and meek,
Regardless of toils or strife.
Christ will present you onto God,
As His kindness shall overflow;
For cleansing you where you are flawed,
Canceling wickedness you know.
So I cannot be discouraged,
Although it looks like I am worn out;
I will still remain encouraged,
And throw away all of my doubt.
I am renewed inside each day,
Through the reading of His Word;
And then strengthened more as I pray,
Knowing that my requests are heard.
