MY EYE DOCTOR, MY LOVE

You always checked my eyes
And then what bliss (:-)
You ended the checkups
With a great big kiss.

You did this for me
On your part it was no strain
You knew just how
To take away the pain.

My love, I sit and I cry
Because you're not here to treat
My ugly red and swollen eye.

I have a good eye doctor
This is true
But sweetheart, no matter how good he is
This eye doctor ISN'T YOU!

Tomorrow is Stevie's birthday
But you won't be at my door
To drive me to the cemetery
Can't you be here, just once more???

Although it is your dear presence I crave
Stevie's darling wife Maureen
Will take me to his grave.

We'll both cry as we look up to the heavens above
Searching, searching . . . .
For the men we so love.

Milt and Stevie
I hope you're smiling down
At Maureen and me
I'm glad you're together
And good friends you will always be.

P.S. I love you both so much. Please Milt, give Stevie a Happy Birthday hug
from Maureen and me. Pain, pain, please go away. I miss them both more than ever today.
