Dreams of Old
In place of them nothing to date
Delicately stored, eternally kept
Short lived or yet to come they dwell
As you, in them just shy of fulfillment
Or realized
In heart a treasure trove only you hold the key
To unlock for awhile, to reminisce, to pacify
Broken, relived and those still to place in secret
In you, of them, caretaker
Inventory well kept
Vintage tales of youth
Of love
Dreams of old
