FirebirdS
Though history became of memories
Inside of you, inside of me
There was fire in hearts that burned
The need to be what still does yearn
Love not shown by those who came
Breaking, entering a well played game
Stealing crown jewel that was your heart
Including one that keeps a part
In every step taken sincere
There was but courage instilled my dear
By you who gave who shed too tears
There the truth exposed ran clear
Protect I swore to keep you safe
Instead I tore you with heartache
Unseen this road today by hands
Destroyed my chance to be your man
Firebirds a place to share
A candles flame birthday and care
Was all precious and still today
Remember it as yesterday
No longer are the days of wine
Of roses reds and of good times
But know this well you never left
Meaning my heart where you are kept
