Poetic Verses
Cruisers
As a native it is a very wonderful attraction to the vision
To see the city invaded by cruisers from many a nation
It can be sometimes be a little time for a bit of entertainment
Watching the reaction of those; who benefit from that moment.
Many would be like a torrent as they rapidly flow
Through the doors of those duty free stores
Seeing the look on the attendants' faces certain overwhelm
By the number of people placing such demands on them
Some will go hunting to get the local crafts as a souvenir
Or buy something no matter how small, of the local ware
Also trying to get a token for a friend or family member
Or sit by a building and get someone take a picture.
But what is fun being on the streets listing to those who price grouse
This in make cause great peals of laughter to be readily arouse
From the moment the trader hears a person with an accent
The price of his good most certainly gets an immediate ascent.
Also those now trying to lobby in order to secure some for transportation
Sort of cutting each other's throats as part of process of negotiation
Trying to get as many to take on those round the island trips
Because they know they had a certain time to get back to the ships.
Other passengers being smarter do not get into such a fuss
Were willing to take their trips on the public omnibus
Far cheaper can mingle with that natives, as well take ride
Who would certainly give them information about those areas in the country side?
As always people are different and so some may like a different scene
Like intending to sample many of the dishes of the local cuisine
No fancy restaurants but go to those areas which are quite homely
As this will give the feeling of how the natives ate so simply.
All done and each person has satisfied their fancies
As always it is time to part and continue on their journeys
Therefore the natives now should banish these misconceptions
That tourists, visitors and cruisers are very rich persons.
