Conviction

Hello Lexi I just saw your picture and noticed your face,
And I have to admit you look so filled with grace.
The other day on the phone when you said hello to me,
When you laughed I felt love and compassion flowing so free.
Your mother has told me so many things about you,
And the hurdles you've leaped with your heart that's so true.
Yes she says you've surpassed all the doctor's expectations,
and looking at your photo I feel such loving sensations.
I know your young now and have a tough road ahead.
But your moms heart and yours are tied with the same thread.
Yes Lexi hopefully sometime in the future we'll meet,
I know when we do that you'll be so sweet.
Cerebral Palsy can be such a terrible affliction,
Yet you'll be OK with your moms love and conviction.

For my friend Jessica
And her "Beautiful Daughter"
