Dark Space (wings2fly2heaven)
August 11, 2011
Hallways of dreams
I amble through
Peripheral confusion and taunting
Against the odds
Against our dreams
I hear
I acknowledge
But I do not truly listen
Darkness of missing is cool and damp
Hands extend
Fingertips brush
And our arc of warmth tingles
Days converge into stars
As stars grant first light's wish
And I call out your name
We turn to closeness
And feel the winds of change upon our faces
A beginning without end
Such darkened space consumes
Be it ever so lonely
There remains one truth
Onward we pass
Written upon hearts
Committed to shared destiny
A dark space is temporary
A dark space will meet its demise
By the resilient light of love
