Almost Home
Servant, my son who fairs not well
On earth my wish will kiss and tell
When it is time to say goodbye
Today I too breathe deep your sighs
Your walk with me while with your flock
Brought many to upon The Rock
To learn, believe that I am He
That sets all souls beyond just free
I placed you were I needed you
To lead worship and bring life to
The lost now found no longer bound
To live for me while there on ground
You served me well and though some think
It's now your time heed this and drink
Of me, of life that sees to things
Beyond what man today does sing
I gave them knowledge but not as mine
For I am GOD who keeps all time
Eternally, not watch they wind
On mortal wrists and not divine
I am the one and too the son
The Holy Ghost and too then some
I am, I am, as you will be
When I say so eternally
Your suffering may be prolonged
To some degree but not for long
For pain may be this day with you
But soon I'll take away that too
Be not weary for I am near
Always like you for me right here
Inside what fades but not of me
Heartbeat of life inside of thee
To my son Pastor Billy Sipes who knows me well
Almost home, love, GOD
