Looking Through My Life's Window
Take Me Home
Oh the gentle tugging
at this ole heart over the years.
Gets stronger with each passing day
to the point of bringing joyful tears
For so long I did not know
the source of my half full heart
The path laid before
leads back to my very start
The journey I'm about to embark
upon a road so familiar to me
Yes the very one I left upon
that will now set my heart free
With each passing mile
I know my memories will flow
They dance will upon my heart
as they did many years ago
The beauty of this land
your breath it will quickly steal
For me it is this place
that holds the me that's real
This land of my roots
for years has beckoned me back
Walking these streets
is what my life does lack
As a child these streets
I've walked many many miles
This town in which I lived
Now brings such Heart felt smiles
Rarely could you walk
and not greet a friend
Here where my heart yearns
until my time ends
On these country roads
among the memories I will roam
My precious Savior I pray
you guide me back home.
To Louisa County Virginia.

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
