Save This TimeTo my granddaughter Grace Marie who will be 19 on the 15/8/11 Happy birthday darling have a wonderful final teenage year. love always Nannie xxx Hair so fair the sun shines through Eyes the brightest startling blue Skin so peachy soft and tender Yes my lovely I remember Way back when you were just three Sitting on your Nannies` knee Shyly listening to a tale Of rabbits down a rabbit hole Poor broken dollies magic mended And all the things we both pretended. Then you grew and went to school Followed patiently each rule `Till you reached the age you are Now a bright and shining star. Boyfriends, loving, planning too Next Prime Minister that`s you. I tell the world, I yell out loud How much you`ve made me oh so proud Yet still I can think back and see My bonnie lassie only three Still the same sweet sunny face Joined the adults in the race To reach the goals that you have set Last year as a teen and yet I know that you will save this time Grace Marie I`m glad your mine. Memories you`ll make of gold To remember when you`re old Have a happy day my dear And a very happy year. Vote for this poem |
