The Eucharist (Christ' Undying Love)"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56) Before the Bread and Wine, I Bow down and kneel; I believe in the Body and Blood of Christ, His presence I strongly feel. Blessed Be His Most Precious Body I take and eat; Though I'm not worthy to receive Him, His undying Love makes it all worth it. Blessed Be His Most Precious Blood I take and drink; Nothing and No one can separate us from His love, Why worry, care to think? Holy, Holy, Holy Blessed be Jesus, Savior of Humanity; How He lavish us with His Grace Immeasurably, Forgiving us, Loving us, unconditionally. "Through Him, with Him, In Him …" We sing joyously, "Amen…" To the Lamb of God who reigns supreme, With the Glory of the Father, and the Holy Spirit … Amen. By: Elena Maria Mana-ay Parcon Date Written: August 11,2011 Date Revised: August 14,2011 The Eucharist, I believe is the real essence of the Holy Mass by which we accept and receive Jesus Christ through His sacred Body and Blood. We become united in His sacrificial offer. I wrote this poem, one week after I was asked by the church usherette in our parish to offer wine for the offertory rite in the Mass. I was starting this line,"Blessed be His Most Precious Blood" in my head, about two hours before the Mass but I couldn't fill in the second line. I felt more of Christ's presence as I walked toward the altar with my sister, offering the Host. With His grace, I was able to finish the poem. Vote for this poem
