My sweet friend Ally had a grandbaby named Kaitlyn
She was the light of her life but now her heart is breaking
At the young age of seven she was taken to heaven
The pain of Ally and family is beyond comprehending
Although the years were short the memories are many
On Aug.8,2011 marked the six month anniversary
Along with tears shed I've prayed for this family
For the attacks before and after has been so many
The devil comes to kill,steal and destroy for he's the enemy
But God in love sent His Son for us to have life more abundantly
Every good gift comes from the Father of lights above
Precious Kaitlyn was a gift from God to cherish and love
But satan's time is now short and he's busier than ever
Going to and fro seeking whomever he may devour
Getting our mind off of Jesus is his main tool and goal
If he can control our thought life he can steal our soul
It is written they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb
and the word of their testimony
All suicides are thoughts first, given by the enemy
As well as bad reports given to get us up in fear
Death and life is in the power of the tongue_ please hear
In Joshua 1:8 we are told to meditate day and night
Also to let this mind be in you that is in Christ
Taking every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ Jesus
For it is only abiding in Him and His word that He can protect us
Kaitlyn loved butterflies with beautiful colored wings
No doubt she's in heaven surrounded by many species of them
Dancing and singing as happy as she could be
Her family's loss was heaven's gain ultimately
When a loved one is taken from us God's gift is memories
No loved one wants their leaving to fill us with pain and misery
After being in the presence of Jesus they wouldn't want to return
if given the opportunity
They're now praying our focus is on the One that reunites
for life eternity
I don't want to sound insensitive to your loss and suffering
For I too have mourned the loss of loved ones tremendously
The greatest loss was my Mama that I grieved over for years
But one day I cried out for God to remove the void and dry my tears
From that moment on His peace came upon me
It was through His gift of poetry I began my healing
then He gave me a ministry
What the devil meant for my harm God used for His glory
He put an overwhelming hunger in me to feast upon His word
Renewing my mind to take thoughts captive from the enemy
when heard
There's a book by a christian lady whose studied the brain 25 yrs.
It's titled "Who Shut Off My Brain" by Dr. Caroline Leaf
I pray for everyone for a life changing experience this is a must read
Along with daily bible devotion a miraculous change you will see
To remove depression,unforgiveness,and strongholds of all kinds
The bible and this book can transform you by renewing your mind
Lil' Kaitlyn's passing wasn't and will not be in vain
For this message in poetry is to bring light for healing
To all that have losses and the grief is ever consuming
Kaitlyn's departure has birthed this divine inspired message given
To also commemorate the 11th of August marked
the 2nd anniversary of another ministry born
What the devil meant for harm to destroy a family through
teen suicide "Nick's" memory lives on
Although the loss was so great his mother wouldn't let
Nick's death be in vain
A new organization at www.In The "Nick" Of Time.org
to help prevent teen suicide it began
Jesus said go ye out into all the world and preach the gospel
Calling unto all to be His disciples
We all have a God given purpose and to each a ministry
Not all behind pulpits but what you're passionate about
your ministry will be
I promise healing comes by devouring His word,
and taking thoughts captive to think on things above.
For the enemy uses our thoughts to try and destroy us.
Jesus wants to mend your broken heart,
pray and in Him put your trust
