TROUBLES

                                         Jailee Nevaeh Wexler

At times when troubles troubled you
You didn't know just what to do
Your eyes were filled with bitter tears
Your mind obsessed with countless fears.

Always worried
Never-ending strife
How could you go on
With this miserable life?

          . . . . . .

Minutes transformed into hours
Days, weeks, months, then years.
          One day
You looked in the mirror and were surprised
To see the reflection of an old woman's eyes.

A woman who had struggled so to thrive
Despite the obstacles, she is still alive.
Yes, she plans to stay alive for quite a while
With a twinkle in her eye and a bright new smile!
           Why?
When she was young she was weak
And now she just can't go wrong
What was this miracle?
'TWAS GOD AND THE TROUBLES THAT MADE HER STRONG.
