ECHOES OF THE HEART
THE WAR WITHOUT/WITHIN
The War without/within,
Where did it all begin?
And Why must it rage so,
Despoiling life below
Where there seems no win?
The War within/without,
Known by all, no doubt
The inner struggles of the mind,
Making peace so hard to find
The Battle's all about!
The War without, within,
It can not be our friend
For to so embrace,
Brings us much disgrace
And much to sorrow's end.
The War within, without,
Is it a war of Clout?
Is Pride so great,
To cause such a fate
It's Not-so I want out!
The War without, within,
When will it ever end?
That Peace may reign,
And so remain
That we our world might mend!
This message I send,
For Peace without, within
Forsake the war,
There's so much more
To us this life can lend!
