Bora born

Once were men _

The voice timbered deep, soft reassurance

to those privileged to pass this way

where kindness sublime ensures remembrance.

He came from the bush down broken hill way

where crows fly backward just for fun
a long life of being, quietly displayed.

In accord his wife tends their central suns
her inner charm he's learnt to grow

to complement one plus one equals one.

Gently sensed where true greatness kindly flows
acceptance poised on bended knee

resolved by the heart so few rarely know.

In lawrence you find what few seldom see

a real man refined among men

from life distilled from turbulent seas.

Humbled, wrent by gentle persuasion as

curved balls intrude on life's plans for

spirits release in the hearts of real men
when inner peace refines the man.
