Not A Good Sign

Yes we can say the since the common use of technology
We have been connected and can access each other internationally
But pursuit has made us so sedentary, even though there is wealth.
There has been a neglect of something as important as health.

In former day there was that talk of that middle age spread
Though bad, but today it has been a sight that is causing such dread
Because this sight seems to be very present on the very young
As they are carrying excess flab and appear quite rotund,

What a sight it is today to even see a young mother
Walking along with her children and they have such blubber
Looking like a ball as they   are just ambling and complaining
Blowing hard as the labored along, saying the feet are aching

Could it be that many of those food products of importation?
That could be could be enhanced by those steroid injection
And therefore when in the process of consumption and digestion, most certainly
Will most certainly be manifested; in some form of hypertrophy.

The household equipment has now give the teens more leisure hours
And the parents also gave them a bit more spending powers
And many of them spend lots of time around those fast food outlets
Eating some much and not paying much attention to the ever important diet
Many of these food smell and have a very good taste
And so they get devoured at such an alarming pace
Never trying to know what were the used ingredients
So as to determine what are the potential health detriments.

But now we can see the results, and the news is not one that please
As this manifested by the increase in hypertension and diabetes
Yes considered chronic, but the numbers are constantly growing in proportion
Even more alarming is the incident of those losing digits by amputation.

It will be hard not to forget that impact on the environment
As we tend to pollute it with anything that is convenient
Appearing to forget that it too will be someday overwhelmed
Thus becoming beneficiaries; of our created problem.
