One less Knight
One less Knight
One less Knight at Kingdoms table
Shaped of heart and loving fable
Where good stood there beside this knight
Absence his, now taken flight
It was to be this way, this day
A once upon a time replays
A minstrel of what use to be
The best of things that still is she
Remorse replaced a heart with stone
Where nothings heard of once alone
Of passion played that is no more
The last place where love was stored
He rode away with memories
Fond, sincere and so many
That when his day turns into night
Dreams come true, better than life
Steed who knows of his path
At times will pull at reigns just past
Crossroads to return to where
This Knight once had a heart to share
Now armor less things weigh this day
Upon shoulders having its way
Whispered in ear, ride hard, return
To Kingdom thought drawbridge was burned
