 308. Embracing Them
To them
All of them
I held them tonight
One after another
With all the love
God couldn't express
Herself,
Holding as if
No other person
Mattered
Or existed
Outside of our embrace.

To feel each
Of their hearts
& all the things
They wanted
And feared
& dared
To feel...
& love them
Each
With no need
To let go
Save for when
Their hearts
Were full
Or they couldn't bear
The tears
Of joy
Or sadness
Kept in the depths
Where I found them...

I held them
Knowing the fears
And the things
They thought
Without words
That they believed
They were unworthy
Of love
And acceptance
And in a wordless
Embrace
Stroked their hair
To some
Like a lover
To some
As a mother
And others
As a sister
A love that
Couldn't be lost
Or forsaken
In my
Embrace.
