Lanes in Wales...
Driving in lanes
so little and thin
trying so hard
to see and fit in...
Hedges so high
and bushy and green
hide all the valleys
and beautiful scenes...
Corners and turns
steady and slow
tooting the horn
to drivers below...
Colourful houses
pastel and small
shine in the rain
close to the wall...
Horses and cows
fight for the road
large garbage trucks
haul heavy loads...
Looking for places
to park for the car
costly and scarce
and often too far...
When lucky enough
to find a safe stop
put up an umbrella
and rush to a shop...
