ONE DAY A YEAR I SHED TEARS

IN HER LOVING FAITH

Trillions of stars painting the skies
Mere brushes for the moon above
Beauty found in an Angel's eyes
Never dimming passion of Eternal love

God saith: "Forget her as love unbourne!"
For in unmirrored eyes lays a fool
Especial is the Star whom you mourne!
Falling from the skies in dazzling hues

From this Earth I take in glowing flame
Others left in Galaxies to take her place
Tyne eyes, thine motion, to hear thy name
Forever is the void no one can replace

My Mother
