If Given
Of second chances and yesterdays
A better place you wished you stayed
Where things felt right and had no end
Dwelling at times to comprehend
At night they come to play with you
These thoughts just short of heard I do
The best of love you can't deny
A souls unrest inside abides
You breathe them still and savor much
The need to hold, sincerely touch
The better part of you, of them
So much to say brought on often
Here they live where beats grow faint
Here where picture theirs you paint
Across your heart where beautiful
Lives forever, short of plentiful
Hold to that thought, embrace the moment
Keep good alive, forever own it
Though love became that is no more
When key they took to hearts lost door
If given back what you do?
I'd tell them that, I still love you
