 THE   MOON   KILLED   THE   SUN
The moon killed the sun
Extinguishing the flame
Eclipsing the heat
No reason to blame
For the night is clinging
To a worthy cause
As shadows creep
And candlelight draws
Me closer to you
An excuse to be near
To share the same space
When dark holds no fear
Bathed in the warmth
Of your eternal glow
Our fingers entwined
Love's wine doth flow
The lines across your brow
All furrowed, now smooth
The world in wonderment
What have we to prove
A glimpse of silver
As eyes starry and low
The pain when I miss you
A lingering glow
Oh the night is young
And our spirits are free
Climb over desires crescent
Come, escape with me
