Tell Them Again
The room empty of them once here
This place called home alone appears
What use to beat, a drive to stay
Alive these days now gone away
They were your cup of caffeine too
Sweet, without one lump or two
Break feast table made for soul
Every sip taken, they took too hold
Drunk in love but not enough
Holding then now out of luck
You fought your best but heartbreak brings
Another day your song to sing
If there was time not once upon
You'd tell them what you miss now gone
Their smile, humor, their way with you
Perfect stayed south and too skies Blue
So you reach out and send again
Reminder yours now but a friend
To let them know just how you feel
As time allows, silly but real
Tell them again
