There was a local girl who married
The brother of the one she did adore
As the brother he had gone away
They thought not to return any more
The brother he came back one day
And their love was as before
They would meet by the river side
And true love became much more
The husband he found out and so
He followed her down there one day
She walked into the water and took her life
And still their presence remains today
The husband he decided to later do the same
Where he had lost the love of his life
So he thought they could still be together
His once much loved dear wife
One at times can see if they try to see
Her stepping into the water there so slow
And her husband he is there watching her
Down where the river waters flow
I used to go there fishing as a boy
One could feel the presence there in the air
As the breezes moved tree branches slowly
Forever I guess they'll always be there .
