What's in a name well i'll tell you
it's something that rings so true....
Dedicated in part to Faron Young
you're a hero unsung,
for you helped give my sweetheart his name
but i never thought the walls....
would say hello to me that took you to fame.
If you aint lovin you ain't livin
you sang of it too that's a given,
by now you've met Faron Angel your namesake
let him sing w/you such sweet music he can make.
Maybe a duet you two sing
you can send it to me so music will ring,
ring out in my ears today
i haven't been able to hear it since he went away.
Carl Smith he was to be named after
i say that with such laughter,
cause he's more a Faron any day of the week
that kind of ring to it is most unique.
Being unique he broke the mold
a flawless nugget of a man....
whose good timin's worth more than gold,
you and Waylon Jennings and him
get together and sing out to his good hearted woman.
Well i'll let you go now cause you 3
have a lot of songs to write for me,
oh yes he's also a poet
even tho he'd never admit it.
Just then he steps up to the microphone
and My Faron sings the other Faron's song....
according to my heart really hits home,
and i'm in heaven here below
cause he sings of his love that won't let go!
