His All Seeing Providence
O Lord, You examined me,
You are all knowing and see;
Through the windows of my eyes,
That I do not wear a disguise.
You alone know when I sit,
And what I do is legit;
As well as when I get up,
To go to praise and worship.
You read my thoughts of each day,
Knowing I trust and obey;
I have spoken in each prayer,
Those same thoughts wanting to share.
You watch me as I travel,
There is no one that I rival;
Because there is no envy,
Of others deep within me.
A shepherd while I sleep,
Resting nicely as your sheep;
I know I am surely blest,
You watching me as I rest.
You are aware what I do,
Each and every day through;
Familiar in all the way,
That I would not go astray.
Let me hide from Your Spirit,
Who has seen each good merit;
So He does not see the time,
When I might perform a crime.
If I go up to Heaven,
A reward will be given;
But not feeling it is worth,
For what I did here on earth.
