Hey you out there!
Yeah, you come over here
Would you like to read a nice novel story?
Okay, come on in
My door is open
Wide open!
To whoever likes to read my story
A very lengthy story.
Starring me!
Yeah me!
You seem surprise
Why?
Can’t I have a written story on my own?
Alright…
Let’s begin!
***
My name is André
I was born what time and date?
I don’t know!
Which hospital?
Simply don’t ask!
I was found just at someone’s door step.
With a little note stated
"His name is André; please take good care of him."
So ever since then, my cradle has been broken
I became a shaky cradle residue.
***
Through beaten life
I lived my childhood
From one foster home to the next
I picked up my manners
Near the end of my 10th grade year.
I proclaimed my title
Yeah, High school dropped out
Sound brilliant right?
Yeah, I had to take that path
Just because…
***
My world, my life
Were tied to anything but drug trends
Not a father figure
Or a mother to lead me to the right direction
So at very early age I ended up being...
Yeah, you know where
At that scary, spooky place
The place that teaches the school of life
To all malicious,
Prison!
***
So a society malfeasance I became
A jail spit I transformed into
Within very little time
I attained to 16 commitments
In jail was where I felt good
Being around my convicted brotherhoods
I felt no competition what so ever
There, was my social group at large
No worried about class snobs
No needed to speak classy
***
Yeah right, what so wonderful about being incarcerated.
I only said, what I said
Simply because…
Perhaps my options then,
Were limited…
An abandoned by my own birth parents
A rejected by society
A no class citizen
A rebel by all means
With a lonely battered heart
***
After so many altercations
So many disciplinary actions took against me
Age caught up with my actions
So I ceased to be an aggressor
It was the time around for me to see the judge
I wrote a very nice letter to him
A letter, of plea
I apologized for my offenses
I implored for a second chance
So with some conditions I was released
***
What a shaky cradle my life has landed onto
My wish is to have just once
An incandescent star
Just like everyone else
To have the chance to ask my birth parents why?
Or to at least see how they look like
To have the chance to feel Mama’s face
Or to either shake pops’ hands
But enough…
This is the end chapter!

Note from Author
This is a stand up poem. A tribute to all abandoned children whom find their selves lost in the system, and victimized by the society.
You all must know that you are not alone; someday somehow the light will be shining upon your ways.
