Ten years on…
still fires are burning
though the dust has now cleared from our view
the towers are gone
but memories still linger
of each loved one that was taken to soon.

still we are fighting
through the dust that now covers our eyes
wars are now raging
their memories will linger
of each loved one that lay down and died.
Ten years on…
still no answers
only more questions of the lives lived before
maybe ten years of learning
will stop our hearts yearning
for such reasons that leads man to war.
