Facing Trials and Temptations
I just want you to know,
We were under a cloud;
That water di d not flow,
Down upon our crowd.
Dry land was through the sea,
As water made a wall;
We were dry as can be,
Never did trip or fall.
Even though some were rude,
And others did not think;
All ate spiritual food,
And drank spiritual drink.
They grumbled when they talk,
God was not pleased with them;
They still drank from the rock,
As God wished to condemn.
They cheated and they lied,
With evil desire;
Bodies lay where they died,
As heat burned like fire.
They felt that God forsakes,
The angel of death destroyed;
So many bit by snakes,
After sin they enjoyed.
We should do our best,
To avoid temptations;
Put God not to the test,
And avert vexations.
